Olivia Newton-John, the Grammy Award-winning singer and actress known as Sandy in the movie ‘Grease’, has died aged 73 after a battle with breast cancer.
Newton-John’s husband, John Easterling, confirmed his wife’s death on Monday via his verified Facebook page, writing that Newton-John “passed away peacefully at his ranch was in Southern California this morning, surrounded by his family and friends.”
“Olivia has been a beacon of victory and hope for over 30 years, sharing her journey with breast cancer,” Easterling wrote. “Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with botanical medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation, dedicated to botanical medicine and cancer research.”
